How it works
Korean keyboards use the 2-set (Dubeolsik) layout: consonants on the left hand, vowels on the right. Each QWERTY key maps to one letter, so typing dkssudgktpdy gives 안녕하세요. The keyboard combines letters into syllable blocks automatically.
Double consonants
Hold Shift for ㄲ ㄸ ㅃ ㅆ ㅉ and the vowels ㅒ ㅖ. On the on-screen keyboard, tap ⇧ first.
Want a real Korean keyboard?

- Mac: System Settings → Keyboard → Text Input → Edit → + → Korean → 2-Set Korean.
- iPhone: Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → Korean.
- Android (Gboard): Gboard settings → Languages → Add keyboard → Korean.
Then practice with the typing trainer.
FAQ
Is anything I type sent anywhere?
No. Conversion happens in your browser. Only if you press a search button does the text open on that website.
I typed in English by mistake with a Korean keyboard on. Can it fix that?
Yes. Paste Korean that should have been English (e.g. ㅗ디ㅣㅐ) into the "Fix wrong layout" box to convert it back.
