Three kinds of TOPIK
- PBT (paper-based): the classic TOPIK I and II, held in Korea and overseas.
- IBT (internet-based): taken on a computer at a test center.
- Speaking: a separate test of spoken Korean.
What we know about 2027
The Ministry of Education announced on 29 September 2026 that 2027 will have six paper tests, six internet-based tests and three speaking tests. Only the first paper test (110th, 10 January, Korea only), the first IBT (17th, 20 February, Korea only) and the speaking test dates were given. The full schedule is usually published on the official site late in the year. We will add dates as they are confirmed.
The ministry also announced stricter rules against cheating, including a five-year ban for people caught cheating and tighter ID checks (physical passport or residence card).
Registration tips

FAQ
Are the dates the same in every country?
Not always. Overseas test dates and times can differ by country and some rounds are Korea-only. Check with your local test center.
How do I add the test to my calendar?
Choose your round and click "Add to calendar (.ics)". It works with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook. You can also set it as your D-day in the study planner.
